Connect Your AI Agent to WhatsApp
Chat with your AI agent on WhatsApp. Scan a QR code, start messaging.
What It Does
Your KiwiClaw agent becomes accessible through WhatsApp, the world's most popular messaging app with 2+ billion users. Send messages to your agent from your phone, get responses with web research, code execution results, and task automation -- all within a familiar WhatsApp conversation.
Setup Process
- Open the Channels page in your KiwiClaw dashboard
- Click Connect to WhatsApp
- A QR code appears on screen
- Open WhatsApp on your phone, go to Linked Devices, and scan the QR code
- The agent is linked -- send a message to start chatting
The WhatsApp connection uses the WhatsApp Web bridge protocol. No API keys, no business account required for personal use.
Example Use Cases
- On-the-go assistant -- Message your agent from your phone while commuting, traveling, or away from your desk. "Summarize my latest 5 emails" / "What's on my calendar tomorrow?"
- Quick lookups -- "What's the current USD to EUR exchange rate?" / "Find flights from Houston to NYC next Friday." The agent searches the web and responds in seconds.
- Client communication tool -- For businesses that communicate with clients via WhatsApp, the agent can help draft responses, look up order statuses, or answer FAQ questions.
FAQ
How does the WhatsApp connection work?
KiwiClaw uses the WhatsApp Web protocol. You scan a QR code displayed in your dashboard with the WhatsApp app on your phone, linking the agent to your WhatsApp account.
Do I need a separate phone number?
The agent uses the WhatsApp Web bridge, which links to an existing WhatsApp account. You can use a dedicated business phone number or a secondary number for the agent.
Is WhatsApp end-to-end encrypted with KiwiClaw?
WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted between devices. The agent processes messages on your isolated KiwiClaw VM. Messages are not stored on KiwiClaw infrastructure beyond the agent's conversation memory.
